Executive Fellow In Residence (EFIR)
About the Role
Executive Fellows in Residence (EFIRs) are senior healthcare, life science, and innovation leaders who bring decades of experience to the Big Tree Start Up Academy. They serve as expert faculty in our bootcamps and masterclasses, guiding founders through the realities of fundraising, commercialization, and scaling within today’s complex healthcare ecosystem.
Depth of Expertise
Each EFIR represents the depth of knowledge and network that Big Tree brings to its educational programs. Fellows include former executives, investors, clinicians, and entrepreneurs with proven track records in building, funding, and leading successful companies. Their insights transform theory into actionable strategies, ensuring founders learn directly from those who have navigated the journey themselves.
Qualifications & Characteristics
15–25+ years of leadership experience in healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, or venture investment.
Demonstrated success in areas such as fundraising, commercialization, regulatory strategy, or scaling companies.
Passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting early-stage founders.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate expertise into practical, hands-on learning.
Committed to advancing innovation and strengthening the startup ecosystem nationally and internationally.
